Our founder's journey didn't start in a corporate boardroom; it started with a lifelong passion for design, born at the JD Institute of Fashion Technology in 1995. Life, as it often does, took her on a detour. For years, she navigated different worlds—from the meticulous logic of Chartered Accountancy to the high-stakes environment of international fashion export houses, creating pieces for global celebrities and major markets.
Along the way, there were seasons of profound joy and quiet sacrifices. She stepped away from the fashion world to protect her family, spent a decade managing a legal practice, and dedicated herself to motherhood. But a true calling can never be fully silenced.
In 2020, amidst a world that had paused, she decided it was time to press play on her dreams. She brushed up her design illustration skills, mastered modern e-commerce, and on August 5, 2021, Unbox Colours was officially born.
What began as a curated online collection evolved into something much deeper. When our first physical store opened on June 24, 2022, we discovered our true superpower: Listening. Our clients didn’t just want off-the-rack clothes; they wanted pieces that fit their unique bodies, stories, and personalities.
Today, operating from our expanded design studio at Kandivali East, Unbox Colours is dedicated to bespoke customization. We don’t just sell outfits; we unbox the confidence, color, and individuality of every woman who walks through our doors.
